What Is Capping?

Capping is the process of bending aluminum around the wood frame of a window, finishing the seal. Most people don't know that siding companies don't include windows, posts or other architectural detailing in their work orders. We finish the siding jobs by adding these final touches.

The basic capping procedure is to wrap aluminum around wooden details of a structure, protecting them.

The Importance of Capping

If a window is not properly capped, moisture and condensation can form, causing the window to rot. A capped window requires very low upkeep and maintenance, and you don't have to repaint it.
